When the de-regulation blueprint of the Indian oil industry was
announced in 1997, the world took note of the enormous potential
that India offered in terms of business. From a controlled field
of business to one where petrol and its products have been branded
and are being positioned to attract the maximum number of consumers,
the petroleum industry has come a long way.
But then the larger question is about getting adequate number of
qualified professionals to harness fossil fuels, an invaluable natural
resource. From the old, small petrol pumps to the service stations
with state-of-the-art technology, dealing in Petrol, Diesel, Compressed
Natural Gas(CNG), and Liquefied Petroleum Gas(LPG) for Automobiles,
and other domestic industrial applications, the industry is primed
for unprecedented opportunities. Moreover, LPG and CNG are the promising
energy fuels for the future and are finding their utility in an
increasing number of fuel-based applications. In a nutshell, the
entire Oil & Gas sector is poised for promising growth with
an entirely unique approach.
